Hello to all Women in Motion!
As you know from my previous post, Women's Health in Motion is an organization "Designed by Women, For Women".
Our web site is being designed by collecting surveys from women attending McKinney area functions. Our mission is "Empowering Women to Achieve Optimum Health Through Education". We are working to bring the information and education women want and need to make an informed choice about all aspects of their health.
The cornerstone and forefront of our organization is our web site. is creating a beautiful and informative web site that will allow us to showcase what we can offer women in the form of information and seminars.
We envision women's health providers submitting links with our site, as well as recommending women's health or service provider to use area services for building their own web site.
The WHIM logo will at the top left. We will use the tag line, "Designed by Women for Women", and our mission statement "Empowering Women to Achieve Optimum Health Through Education" will be prominent on the homepage.
UPCOMING SEMINARS, Women's Health Community Calendar, and Resources (our health professional board) will be on buttons. WHIM logo wear will be available for sale on our site.
There will be themes celebrated on the web site such as: February, Heart Health Month, June, July and August, Skin Care and Skin Cancer Awareness, October, Breast Cancer Awareness, etc.

We are planning our first event to take place in May featuring skin care and skin cancer prevention in preparation for the beautiful hot, Texas summer! We Women in Motion have much to do outside, and protecting and preserving our valuable asset of healthy skin is a must!
There is much to do to be ready, but this is fun, exciting and fulfilling work, bringing health education to all Women in Motion.

Women's Health in Motion Today January 23, 2007
Hello to all Women in Motion!
Progress is being made in the formation of Women's Health in Motion for McKinney!
Our mission statement is to "Empower Women to Achieve Optimum Health through Education", and our web site and organization is "Designed by Women for Women".
Today, all the women attending the Chamber Breakfast at Van Alstyne's Grayson County Community College filled out the Survey that will be used to design the web site of WHIM-McKinney.org. Last week, the survey was filled out by participants at the Women's Alliance of McKinney. A drawing for a 1 hour massage was donated by Kelly Ezell of Healing Touch Massage to reward those at WAM who filled out and turned in the survey.
We will use the results of the survey to build our website, "Designed by Women, for Women".
Parnterships are being formed each day. Today a partnership with Rona Dahlgren of More Payment Choices has been formed! We will be able to use Rona's company More Payment Choices to allow our members to make their online purchases of their membership, seminar registrations and logo items.
Yesterday, a meeting was held with Cathryn R. Paton, Attorney of the Paton Law Firm to discuss the opportunity of Not for Profit Status of 5013 C and other entities we should consider for setting up our organization.
Not for Profit has more appeal, as we aspire to support organizations with monetary support of those organizations who aid women to achieve optimum health!
